SHSS Partners with KNCHR to Host Landmark Youth Conference on Human Rights and SDGs
In March 2026, the School of Humanities and Social Sciences collaborated with the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR) to host a impactful, two-day Youth Conference on Human Rights and Sustainable Development Goals.
Held under the inspiring theme, “Inspiring Confidence and Empowering Youth Leaders for Human Rights, Leadership and Youth Innovation for Sustainable Development,” the event brought together emerging student leaders from the Social Sciences Department, advocates, and experts.
Throughout the two-day summit, students gained critical knowledge and practical skills in human rights advocacy, leadership, civic responsibility, and sustainable development.
This successful collaboration demonstrates the School’s strategic commitment to community engagement, academic excellence, and the holistic empowerment of the next generation of global changemakers.
